Get Organized for Academic Success

Workshops for students

How can high school, college or graduate students get the edge they need to improve their academic performance? They can learn practical skills and strategies to manage their time and energy most effectively and achieve their academic goals.

Many professionals get this productivity training at work, and businesses reap the benefit. Students, on the other hand, can struggle for years, without much success, to learn these skills on their own.

Brenna Consulting offers workshops designed to help students learn the organizational skills they need to become more productive and achieve academic success. Workshops are customized to match the interests and circumstances of each audience.

Testimonials

Amy Brenna has conducted efficiency workshops for our graduate students for the last three years, because her workshops help them juggle all the demands in their lives.  Many of our students have a full-time job, go to graduate school at night, and have families too.  They are stretched thin, and the skills they learn in Brenna Workshops give them the support they need to do well in all three arenas while keeping the stress level down.  Brenna Workshops has become an essential component in the skills training we provide for our students.

-Brian Roach, New York University Wagner School of Public Service

I am a 2nd year part-time student at New York University's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. I am also the recipient of a Rudin Fellowship. I began my program last year and I cannot tell you what a challenge and shock it was to suddenly have to balance work, family and school. Due to my work commitments I found myself not able to pull the all nighters I did as an undergraduate, and struggled to achieve the high grades that had come so naturally the first time around.

Now a Wagner year wiser and calmer, I signed up and attended the seminar offered by NYU called Strategies for Juggling School, Work, and Personal Time conducted by Amy Brenna. I am very thankful that this seminar was made available to me and my fellow students. It was quite reaffirming to know that there are methods to the madness of working and studying and it has given me even more confidence to tackle another year. Ms. Brenna was excellent and her professional execution and suggestions will extend not only to school, but also to my work. It validated that a science does exists in choosing to go back to school while working and staying sane! Above all, it reminded me that life does not have to go on hiatus in the process (well those bad TV shows have to shelved, but I can live with that).
